• On the 20th November at the University visited gen. pil. cosmonaut Miroslaw Hermaszewski, who gave a lecture on "Manned space flight". General is Poland's only astronaut. Lecture gained interest from students.

• On 23 October 2010 within the course on The emergency management there were instructional classes, which were held by Commander of the State Fire Service District in Otwock senior brigadier. MSc. Mariusz Zabrocki. The theme of the course was "Intention of the organization and operation of fire TAJFUN-1-POZAR by the Crisis Staffs Otwock County Fire Department"Seminar on 35th anniversary of the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe. On 12 October 2010, Dr Czeslaw Marcinkowski chaired a seminar on "The role of the CSCE / OSCE in shaping European security - 35 years"
• At the beginning of the academic year came foreign students. This yearwe will host 3 students - from Spain, Italy and Turkey.

• On September 30 - October 1 2010 6th International scientific conference on 'The Application of Sustainable Development: Critical Assessment' took place at the University of Klaipeda (Lithuania). The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers from different backgrounds to present their research and discussions on sustainable development, using different perspectives and approaches to the topic. Four academics from our university attended this conference with articles in English: prof. Bronislaw Sitek - Evaluation of the proposed reform of Higher Education in Poland against the background of the Principles of sustainable development; Magdalena Sitek, Phd - The Development of Global Economy in the Light of Business Charter for Sustainable Development, Sylvia Cmiel, MA - Social Potential management as a main element of the contemporary organizacyjnych strategy; Iwona Niedziółka, MA - The Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on economic development in Poland.
• On 20 September 2010, the University held a conference on 'Information and energy management in the security system of the European Union'. The patronage over the conference took Professor. dr hab. Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament. The conference was organized by the Science and Technology Park Euro-Centrum in Katowice. During the ceremony, the University signed an agreement on accession to the energy-saving technologies Cluster. In the conference many well-known people took part: Adam Struzik - Marshal of the Mazowieckie Region, Paweł Ziemski - Deputy Chief Inspector of Building Control, Piotr Styczeń - Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Dr. Wojciech Rafał Wiewiórowski -General Inspector for Personal Data Protection, Andrzej Arednarski - President of the National Chamber of Commerce, Piotr Uszkok - Mayor of Katowice, Zbigniew Michnikowski - Vice President of Bielsko-Biala, Dr. Mariusz Sokolowski - Spokesperson for the General Police Headquarters and many local politicians.
• On 19 September the new academic year 2010/2011 was inaugurated during a Mass celebrated in the Church in Józefów. Students and academic staff attended the solemn Mass.

•  Several WSGE employees participated in a pilgrimage from Warsaw to Jasna Gora. They marched for ten days, once in the rain, sometimes in scorching heat, together with the military group. It was a truly international group, consisting of American, German, Lithuanian and Polish soldiers.

• On the 27th July a seminar about e-learning teaching for faculties took place. Out academics could learn more about new way of teaching at our University.
• In mid-July diploma examinations were held for the following disciplines: Administration, Pedagogy, and Management and the first examinations of Master studies in Pedagogy. Congratulations to all graduates!
• After passing all the exams Erasmus students from Italy and Spain have finished their stay at our university.

• On the 15th June two Turkish Erasmus students from the University of Kirikkale left Poland. They have appreciated their stay at our university a lot.

• From 9th to 16th May 2010 Asst. Prof. Ali Guzel from Kirikkale Universitesi has conducted a series of lectures on “Introduction to Mathematical Programming, Case Study: Multiobjective assignment of students to faculty members, LINGO modeling and solution” and “Sensitivity Analysis and performance criteria, Implementation/Conclusion/Future Prospects” And Prof. Dr. Mahmut Özdemir has conducted a series of lectures on “Introduction to Business Entrepreneurship, Features of Business Entrepreneurs, Varieties and Importance of Business Entrepreneurs” and “Features of Successful Business Entrepreneurs, Conclusion and Suggestions” to a group of students at Alcide De Gasperi University of Euroregional Economy.

• The contest for the most beautiful girl in Otwock district took place on the 25th April. The winner is Agnieszka Kobza. WSGE helped in organizing the this event.
• On the 24th April there has been a speech made by minister Piotr Styczeń from the Ministry of Infrastructure.
• On the 20th April there have been sessions of the Council Social Sciensces Faculty and the Coucil of Pedagogy Faculty.
• After the sessions the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences conducted a scientific seminar about "Criteria of national security". 
• On the 10th April in Smolensk, the plane Tupolew 154-M of the Polish President Lech Kaczyński crashed down shortly before landing. National Mourning has been announced.
   

• On the 28th March a scientific conference on "Innovations in elementary education" took place. The Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy dr Mirosława Raczkowska Lipińska hosted this exeptional event.
• On the 16th March there has been a session of the Senate of WSGE.
• A very prestigous meeting of the representatives of Safety specialty of many Polish universities took place on the 8th March.

• On the 15th February there has been a meeting where our students met their employers for conducting a stage within European project 2/POKL/4.1.1/2008.
• On the 15th February WSGE joined Scientific - Technological Consortium "Polish Technology Platform for Safety Systems" - a very prestigious group of institutions which make scientific researches in the field of safety systems.
• On the 19th February a student conference on "Assessment of threats and security of Poland using expert-method and the brainstorming" took place. The conference was prepared by the students of the Faculty of ocial Sciences within the scientific subject "Cross-border area of security and threats of Poland".
• At the end of February 3 Turkish students left our country and 2 new students fron the Faculty of Public Administration came. They will have courses in English and lessons of Polish language.
• In February "Mini - lexicon of the European Union Questions" was published. This exquisite publication can be a real help for students and people interested in the EU political system.

•  6th September began 3 postgraduate studies: MASTER IN EUROPROJECTS – EU PROJECTS – MEP, MASTER IN INTERMEDIAZIONE LINGUISTICA PROGETTUALE E D’IMPRESA – MILPI, MASTER ON EUROPEAN BUSINESS LAW – MEBL. People taking part in it are students from Poland and from abroad. Lectures are in English. Lecturers come from Poland, USA and Italy. University in Józefów undertakes next actions with an international character, gaining its prestige.
•  As a part of the UE project 2/4.1.1/POK/2008 there was a selection for a gratitude studies for grad students on psychological- legal- pedagogical preparation for work with the difficult youth. Qualification process with the candidates for the Ist emission of the studies will take place 28th September 2009, at 16:00
•  15th September to our university arrived 5 students from the University of Bari, for Erasmus programme. They will be our students for winter and summer semesters
•  September is by habit a month that begins an academic year. Students and professors are preparing themselves for the beginning of classes.
•  20th September 2009 took place an Inauguration of the Academic Year 2009/2010. The guest of honour was Armando Tarullo, PhD, a Secretary General of Alcide de Gasperi Foundation in Rome. The Secretary named a main lecture hall after Giulio Andreotti, one of the most famous and valued European politicians. Besides in the event took part Chief of the Italian Culture Institute in Warsaw, Mr Giulio Molisani, PhD. The inauguration began at 11:00 with a celebration at a local church which hosted father Arkadiusz Sosna. Next, at 11:30 it was supposed to start an inauguration, but because of the illegal demonstration it collapsed by 15 minutes. A guest lecture was celebrated by prof. Stanisław Pikulski “ Pathologies in public administration”. Mayor of Józefów got awarded with a medal for being a friend of the University.
•  In September there was announced a contest for postgraduate studies in Europroject which is financed by “Bona Sforza” Foundation. Its aim is a valuation of the educational potential of young people, mainly Polish citizens, rising their qualifications in europrojecting.
•  22nd September 2009 took place a meeting of WSGE Senate. The subject of the sitting was nominating of prof. Wojciech Pokruszyński as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences. There was also discussed an upcoming conference “Inner safety of Poland among other EU countries”

• 31st August took place a Senate meeting. Main subject of this meeting was accepting a study programmes for postgraduates gratitude studies for grad students on psychological- legal- pedagogical preparation for work with the difficult youth. Thanks to the programme a group of 30 people will be able to continue studies, without a tuition, could raise their qualifications. It has 3 blocks: sociological, psychological and legal.
• 27th August there were final exams on pedagogy

• Defence of final works on administration and pedagogy. Examination commission gave good and very good grades. Some of them were on average level

•  1st June our two students Kamila Nowak and Magdalena Augustyniak, went for 3 month internship for Erasmus Programme to Alberobello in southern Italy. During this period our students got to know the functioning of the local government and the regional museum.
• 6th June took place the meeting of a Pedagogy Board where there was convocated a recruitment for postgraduate students
• 9th June took place a Senate meeting. There was convocated an Institute of Transboardal Security of Poland at WSGE. Besides prof. Sitek announced that “Journal of Modern Science” got 2 points on a list of magazines of Ministry of Science and Higher Education

• lecturers from Faculty of Social Sciences in WSGE from 29th April till 5th May were visiting with a series of lectures in Spain, at the University of Castellón
• conference 18th May in WSGE in Józefów named “Kindergarden education in new forms, education of small child – yesterday, today and tomorrow”. Discussion turned into a form of the workshop
